Today Problem Hedges Australia and Hedgewise are united in their fight for legislation to control problem high hedges.

We aim to :

Campaign for effective legislative control of problem high hedges.
Further awareness of the problem of high hedges in
both urban and rural areas in NSW and Interstate.
Assist where possible the victims of high hedges.
Invite further discussion between victims, perpetrators and anyone with the knowledge and skills to assist.

IMPORTANT NEWS!! The NSW government has released its report on the review of the Trees (Dispute Between Neighbours) Act.

This report recommends that the Land and Environment Court be given the power to resolve disputes between neighbours over high hedges that severely affect light and views. This report can be accessed here.

The government has decided to accept all of the recommendations outlined in the report. The media release relating to this announcement can be found here.

The new powers are to be introduced into parliament early next year and will need to pass through both houses of parliament before being enacted. We strongly urge you to write a letter or e-mail to your State MP urging them to support these amendments.
